Yippie, skinned my gallery to look like my wordpress install. Colors make me dizzy.

If anybody could be of help, I have a CSS layout problem. If you have IE and Firefox, check out the page with both. You’ll notice in IE there is a sizeable gap between the content and the right hand menu that isn’t present in Firefox. This is causing a misalignment on the right side of the page. I just spent and hour trying to figure out the problem with no luck.

It’s passing CSS and XHTML validation, too.

Though not as fancy as I’d like, I think I’ve redesigned the layout to be a bit nicer. Note to self, always build off of less complicated CSS (thanks to Chris M) when you are a CSS moron like me.

Thanks to NuclearMoose on #wordpress, I came across the phpGiggle plugin. It’s quite useful, essentially it preprocesses text and will translate keywords you’ve establed into automatic links. So instead of slamming in the link to a friends site evertime, you just type it. The word biolachris is automatically parsed, for example.

My thoughts to migrate off Movable Type came down to choosing between b2evolution and !wordpress. Wordpress looks a little less complicated, so thought I’d give it a go. The only downside (and it’s a big downside) is it doesn’t have native support for multiple blogs right now. Supposedly the next release will. Seems good so far…we’ll see.

I should add, it imported my MT entries and comments without any trouble. Now that’s cool.
