With the water at the right temputure and the salt content proper, it's really just a little pressure and that's it. I don't have to inhale or anything. The gentle pressure from the water and the angle of my head keeps the water flowing. Also, I just relax and breathe through my mouth. If my chin is down enough, nothing really gets past my nose and sinuses. Surprisingly, it doesn’t really hurt.
