LLuna - the Jabber Virtual Presence Project
I ran across an interesting Jabber application today called Lluna. There’s also a firefox plugin for it. The concept is pretty simple, it uses jabber for communication, and tracks what website you are currently viewing. It throws up your avatar at the bottom on the web browser for that page, as well as the avatars of other users currently at the site. This could, for instance, let users at a blog community like brendoman.com chat in real time about the news on the site.

Hi,
I am a LLuna developer. I am glad you report abut LLuna. I wish there would be more blogs about it and finally more users. Virtual presence is a cool thing if there are millions of user. You can meet the readers of your blog on the blog page. You can meet everywhere and the best feature at all. If you meet too many people on too many pages, then you can just ignore them. Like you do in the real worls. But sometimes you meet someone interesting or a friend. LLuna - the real life on the Web.
